AKCAF CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR  CARNIVAL 2009.

As informed earlier we are providing you the details about our mega event –
AKCAF Christmas & New Year Carnival 2009 (will be held on 23rd January 2009 at Etisalat  Academy, Dubai. (Map Attached) - Event will be from  2.00pm – 9.00pm.

Rules & Regulations:
Christmas Tree Competition

  • Only artificial trees should be used for competition.
  • Maximum permitted height is 7 ft. and 1 meter dia.
  • Lighting in the tree is permitted for which the organizers will provide one plug point.
  • All decorating materials and light should be brought by the teams.
  • All decorations and lighting works should be done at the venue.
  • Competition time is from 2.30 pm to 3.30pm
  • Maximum 6 persons are allowed for a team
  • Participants should report at the venue at 2.15pm

Carol Competition

  • Maximum number of person allowed in a team will be 10
  • Musical instruments are not compulsory but permitted to use.
  • Maximum allowed time for a team is 10 minutes
  • Only Carol songs are allowed.  Devotional songs are not allowed.
  • Permitted languages are Malayalam and English only.  Out of which one song should be in Malayalam
  • No special dress code for the team members.
  • Participants should report at the stage at 4.45pm

Cooking Competition

  • Our old rules apply for Cooking competition – competition in 4 categories: Vegetarian, Non Vegetarian, Sweet &  Plum Cake  
  • No cooking will be allowed. Only display food items along with recipe will be allowed.  No restrictions for number of entries from each college. 
  • Pork items should be avoided.
  • Participants should report at the venue at 2.15pm

Procession:

  • Maximum number of person allowed for each college will be 50
  • Orchestra, Band or Chenda can be used only by college alumni members
  • There will be 3 prizes for winners – only for the teams those who display both Christmas & New Year Carnival concepts.
  • Participants should report at the ground at 3.30pm

Tug of War

  • Maximum number of person allowed in a team will be 9
  • Participants should report at the venue at 4.45pm
  • Only College Alumni members are allowed to participate in Tug of War

Stalls

  • Maximum number of stalls for a colleges : 2 (only one food stall for a college)
  • No cooking will be allowed. Only display of food items will be allowed
  • AKCAF will provide two tables rest (if needed) should be arranged by participants.
  • Only alumni members are allowed to supply the items in stalls.

 COMPETITION ITEMS ARE STRICTLY FOR ALUMNI MEMBERS AND NO OUTSIDE PARTIES WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH ITEMS
Judge’s/Committee’s decision will be final for all the competition items.
All items should be performed according to the rules and regulations of Govt. of Dubai.

AKCAF & Carnival Committee’s decision will be final for all the matters related to X’mas New Year & Carnival celebration.
