Membership Eligibility
Any alumni association, formed within the U.A.E., with a minimum of 30 members registered with them, of a college or institution, affiliated to any of the Universities or Professional Institutes recognized by the Central or State Government, or its authorized departments, provided that such an institution is located in the State of Kerala, shall be eligible to be admitted as a member of AKCAF.
Membership Fee
a) Each new member shall pay a registration fee of AED. 200/- and AED 300 as
Membership Fees at the time of Admission.
b) An existing AKCAF Member shall pay an amount of AED 300/- as Annual
Membership Renewal Fees.
Admission
a) A college alumni, desirous of becoming an AKCAF Member, shall submit their application to this effect, in the “Admission Request Form”, to the Executive Committee through the President or General Secretary of AKCAF along with a list of minimum of 30 members. Such a college, shall hereafter, be denoted as ‘Applicant College Alumni’.
b) After verifying the Admission Request Form and members’ list, Executive Committee, with their comments, shall present the same in the immediately following General Body. General Body, at its discretion, shall approve the Provisional Membership, subject to the AKCAF By-law clauses.
c) AKCAF will notify the Applicant College Alumni, within 7 days of the approval of the aforementioned Provisional Membership, subject to becoming effective only when the Applicant College Alumni, not later than 30 days from the date of the above said AKCAF notification, pays an amount of AED 200/- to AKCAF as registration fee. Applicant College Alumni shall conduct a function, not later than
120 days from the date of AKCAF notification in which the President/ General Secretary of AKCAF shall be invited as Guest/s of Honor. If the Applicant College Alumni does not meet the deadline as mentioned in this sub clause, then the Provisional Membership will become null and void.
d) The AKCAF official, who attends the meeting, shall submit a report to the Executive Committee about the Applicant College Alumni. The Executive Committee shall review the said report, and if satisfied, shall decide to admit the Applicant College Alumni and a second AKCAF notification to this effect shall be served to the Applicant College Alumni within 7 days from this date. The membership shall become effective only when the Applicant College Alumni, not later than 30 days from the date of the second AKCAF notification mentioned herein, pays an amount of AED 300 as annual membership fees to AKCAF. Regardless of the date of admission, the annual membership fees shall pertain to the same AKCAF financial year ending on 30 April, in which the said payment is made. If the Applicant College Alumni does not meet the deadline as mentioned in this sub clause, their membership process will become null and void.
e) The procedure, initiated in pursuance of this Section VII for admitting an Applicant College Alumni, if remains incomplete by the end of that AKCAF financial year, shall be continued and completed in the following AKCAF financial year. In that case, all actions performed in the year of commencement of the admission procedure will have the same effect and validity in its following year without prejudice to the time limit or any other terms and conditions relevant thereto.
f) The decision of AKCAF shall be final, and no reason, whatsoever, needs to be given for rejection of any application for membership.
